“Strength Through Our Roots”

Akehurst Family Group Members,

I hope you are all well. As we look ahead to our next major gathering, we are beginning preparations for the 2028 Akehurst Family Group Meeting, which is planned to take place between 22nd and 24th September 2028.

Before we confirm a venue, we would like to gather ideas and preferences from all members — both here in the UK and from around the world.

We kindly ask for your thoughts on:

1) Possible locations in the UK that would be suitable for hosting the meeting but close to Railway stations and hotels/Inns etc.
2) Your expectations or preferences for hotel accommodation.
3) Maximum budget or spend you would be comfortable with for hotels or related travel costs.
4) Any additional suggestions and interests related to the group that could make this event more enjoyable and accessible.
5) Special Requirements and Services

Your input will help us choose a venue that works well for the majority and ensures a successful and well‑attended gathering. Please reply with your ideas whenever convenient. We look forward to hearing from you and shaping the 2028 meeting together.

Look, I know it's a long way off and many paths have to be followed between now and then, but we would really like your input ........ PLEASE!

Warm regards to all.

David Brown (DUK)
